George H.W. Bush As Witness At Gay Wedding (PHOTO)

Former President of the United States George H.W. Bush served as a witness at a gay wedding over the weekend.

The Washington Post reported Bush, 89, served as an official witness at the wedding of Bonnie Clement and Helen Thorgalsen, who own a general store together in Maine. Thorgalsen posted the following image to Facebook showing Bush signing their marriage license:

A rep for Bush confirmed the former president and his wife Barbara attended the wedding as "private citizens attending a private ceremony for two friends."
