Taylor Swift Education Center
Taylor Swift spent $4 million to open an education center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on Saturday.
Swift, 23, donated the funds for the Taylor Swift Education Center as part of the foundation's expansion campaign and cut the ribbon just one day before she accepts her record sixth songwriter-artist of the year award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
Taylor's center includes an instrument room, classroom space and other educational opportunities for young visitors.
"I'm really excited about this music education center and the fact that right now they have three different classes going on today," Swift was quoted as saying following the ceremony, noting: "It's really exciting that we can be here on a day when they're not only unveiling it, but they're starting to actively use it today."
Swift added: "We've been talking about different programs I can be involved in."
