Britney Spears Extends Las Vegas Residency Despite Injury (VIDEO)

Britney Spears will officially extend her Las Vegas residency for three more months. 
 






Spears, 33, stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday and revealed the exciting news while giving fans an update on her harmed ankle. 

Just in case you have missed it, Britney fell and injured her ankle last week during one of her "Piece of Me" concerts at The AXIS auditorium inside Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Shortly after the show, the Princess of Pop wrote on her twitter account that her ankle was doing fine, but a doctor's examination showed the injury was worse than she thought. She was urged to wear a boot on her foot and therefore had to call off her weekend shows, although she was later pictured apparently having fun at the beach.

While on "Ellen," the pop icon stated that she actually "tore some ligaments" in her foot.

"I was just kind of bopping around. And I've done like eight years worth of shows," Spears explained, adding: "Plenty of shows! And I've never actually fell onstage so it was really kind of embarrassing. But yeah, I fell down and I got back up, and my dancers kind of guided me to keep going."

Spears also claimed that she is planning to add new concerts running through the end of December.
