"Fifty Shades of Grey" Alternative Ending Revealed

"Fifty Shades of Grey" has reportedly been released on Digital HD, which means the alternative ending is currently available to be seen. 
 





In the film's original ending, we watch Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) attempting to break the emotional exterior of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). She wants to find out what he is like at his worst and what their affair would be like if they stay together. The couple goes into the red room and Christian strips her naked and beats her six times with his belt. The experience is really disturbing for Anastasia and she tells him to never whip her like that again.

Grey tries to comfort Steele while she cries in her room and she announces him that she is in love with him. He tells her she can't do that, so the following morning Anastasia apparently leaves Christian for good. The movie ends with her in the elevator and the two of them saying their names to each other as the doors close.

In the alternate ending, it is shown that Christian and Anastasia have broken up for good after the experience in the red room. The clip shows the pair returning to their normal lives, but Christian can't seem to focus while in an important business meeting and Ana is seen crying in a fetal position. It looks like they are missing something.

In the footage, Anastasia is spotted sending Christian a toy version of the glider plane they flew earlier in the movie. A note is included that reads: "this reminded me of a happy time."





"Fifty Shades of Grey" is available on iTunes, Blu-ray and DVD on May 8.
