Angelina Jolie Nose Job

American actress, film director and screenwriter Angelina Jolie is rumored to have had a nose job at the beginning of her brief modeling career to improve her appearance.


Judging by the before and after pictures, the size of the tip cartilages is reduced making the tip of her nose smaller, thinner, more pointed and compact than before. Jolie had definitely a bulbous nose before her nose job while now her nose is more refined and symmetrical. 

Jolie's new nose appears more sophisticated while then had quite a large tip and wider bridge.

Despite the obvious nose job procedure, Jolie dismissed the nose job rumors, telling UK's Daily Mail: "I haven't had anything done and I don't think I will. But if it makes somebody happy then that's up to them. I'm not in somebody else's skin to know what makes them feel better about themselves. But I don't plan to do it myself."

The question is: "What plastic surgeon experts believe about Angelina Jolie's nose job?"

Dr. Toby Mayer, co-director of the Beverly Hills Institute of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, was quoted as saying: "Normally, when I get pictures like this, it's difficult for me to tell with some sort of authority whether or not someone has gotten plastic surgery. That is not the case here. As she has gotten older, her nose could have thinned, but in my opinion she had her nose done." 

Plastic surgeon and blogger Dr. Anthony Youn of Michigan claims pictures that were previously published suggest that she had a nose job that was "tastefully done." "The photos that I have seen make me believe that she has had a rhinoplasty quite some time ago. Her nose looks great," Dr. Anthony Youn told Make Me Heal.

Plastic surgeon and blogger Dr. John Di Saia of San Clemente and Huntington Beach also praised the work. "The tip is refined and the work is not obvious without looking at pre-op images," he noted.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California claimed: "Angelina Jolie appears to have had a rhinoplasty at one point in her life, as her more current photos demonstrate subtle differences from earlier photos".

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer stated: "I do believe that Angelina Jolie has had her nose worked on in the past. It looks like she defined the tip and narrowed and smoothed out the bridge of her nose. It is not overdone and looks great."

Conclusion: Angelina Jolie's nose job was done very gracefully and subtly as her face now seems well-balanced and natural. Her plastic surgeon obviously knows that moderation is the key.
