Mariah Carey Confirms Exit From "American Idol"
Mariah Carey confirmed her exit as a judge on "American Idol" on Thursday afternoon.
It has to be noted that earlier this month longtime "Idol" judge Randy Jackson, 56, also announced his departure from the show after 12 long years on the judges' panel.
Carey, 43, retweeted a message from her publicists at PMK BNC confirming she will no longer appear on the FOX show.
Current judges Nicki Minaj, 30, and Keith Urban, 45, have yet to talk about whether they will return to the show for another season.
It has been rumored that "American Idol" producer Nigel Lythgoe is looking to replace all four judges with a "dream team" that includes Justin Bieber, Pink, Sean "Diddy" Combs and Selena Gomez.
