Nelson Mandela Released From Hospital

Nelson Mandela was released from hospital after three months of treatment on Sunday despite numerous web rumors that claimed he was dead.


Mandela, 95, remains in poor health, but doctors insist he will be able to receive sufficient intensive care at his own residence.

The former President of South Africa was hospitalized with a lung infection back in June.




Early on Sunday, a false rumor alleging that former U.S. President George H.W. Bush had supposedly confirmed Mandela's passing circulated on twitter.

It is not the first time a death hoax has spread about Mandela.

Mandela is still in critical condition, but he returned home for the first time in 12 weeks.
