Amanda Bynes Caught Shoplifting At Barneys

Amanda Bynes was stopped by security personnel after allegedly shoplifting a $200 hat from Barneys in New York on Wednesday.


According to celebrity website TMZ, Bynes, 28, was shopping at the high-end store on Madison Avenue when she put on the expensive hat and attempted to leave the scene without paying.

Security guards caught her and brought her back inside, where eyewitnesses allegedly noticed the troubled star "acting crazy."





According to several reports, Bynes told guards that she had been chased by fans and was using the hat to hide her face, but never intended to steal it.

The guards then allowed the former Nickelodeon star to leave the location before cops arrived.






In exchange, Barneys is said to have made Bynes sign a no-trespass document banning her from returning to the building.
