Amanda Bynes Hospitalized Under 5150 Psychiatric Hold
Amanda Bynes was hospitalized near Los Angeles on Friday afternoon, following a day full of erratic behavior.
Bynes, 28, is now being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours.
According to several reports, Amanda's parents will look for a 14-day extension, during which time they will re-apply for a conservatorship.
Just in case you have missed it, the former Nickelodeon star sent out a number of tweets this morning accusing her dad of sexually abusing her.
Bynes' mom released a statement expressing shock at the absurd claims and she later backtracked from her allegations, claiming that her rant was the result of "microchip" her father allegedly had implanted in her head.
During this time, the troubled actress fearing that her family would track her down in New York, panically sought a flight out of the city.
When she landed in Los Angeles, a car service that she believed was taking her to a hotel to meet with her parents, instead brought her to a hospital in Pasadena.
According to celebrity website TMZ, Bynes' family attorney was waiting there with doctors, an act orchestrated by her parents.
Bynes was hospitalized on a psychiatric hold this past year, after an extended stint in a rehabilitation center, during which her parents became her conservators.
The former child star was then released into their full-time care and appeared to be making great progress in her health as she went to fashion school.
The conservatorship, though, reportedly took an end over the summer, Bynes was recently dismissed from her school and she became estranged again from her parents all before she was arrested for driving under the influence in late September.
As concern for her well-being increased over the past few weeks, Bynes many times insisted she was not "insane" or mentally ill at all.
