Penelope Cruz Plastic Surgery

Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, best known for starring in "Vanilla Sky" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona", is rumored to have gone under the plastic surgeon's knife to improve her image.

Cruz, 40, is rumored to have had a nose job, lip and botox injections and breast implants.

Judging by the before and after pictures, it is quite clear that Penelope's nose was wider, more bulbous and bigger, with a less defined tip. Her current nose is definitely thinner, reshaped, which is definitely a sign of a nose job.

One can easily notice the difference in Cruz's bust. Her breasts are now bigger and fuller, but perfectly shaped as they are well sized to fit perfectly with the rest of her body features. 

Penelope's lips seem to be slightly augmented, an indication of lip injections. Plastic surgeon experts believe that the actress uses injectable fillers like Restylane, Juvederm or Prevelle at the very least.

There is also possible that Cruz uses Latisse to enhance her long eyelashes.

Some plastic surgeons claim that Penelope is a huge fan of botox injections and even got them during pregnancy, which is inadvisable.

When asked about plastic surgery in the past, Cruz responded she is not against plastic surgery, but she is looking forward to growing old naturally.

"My grandmothers had so many wrinkles, and every wrinkle told a story. I want to experience every year of my life for what it is. It doesn't mean I am against somebody who does a little retouch or plastic surgery; that's a different story. You can be 50 years old and want to do a little thing and it can look great. I don't judge people who do it. I just don't like how women complain about growing old. I loved Audrey Hepburn: she was so natural and she was a real woman. She was beautiful when she was young and she was beautiful when she was 60. Sophia Loren and Susan Sarandon, too."

On her blog, New York plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden was quoted as saying: "While the 37 year old new mom does look great, I don't think she looks that natural. We'll cut her some slack though because she just had her son and probably was too excited to get back to her Botox/filler routine. She does look youthful though and her post-baby body is fantastic."

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California, explained: "Some photos that show the front of Ms. Cruz's nose are consistent with having had a rhinoplasty. Her tip cartilage looks like it might have a parenthesis look from the way the cartilage was excised," adding: "Penelope Cruz could possibly have some (Botox) before the awards to help emphasize her facial features." 

Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn pointed out: "(She) appears she may have some conservative lip injections with an injectable like Restylane. It's not overdone. The lips (especially the upper lip) appears a bit outlined, which can be seen with lip augmentation using injectables".





Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden revealed: "Penelope Cruz is rumored to have had injectables to her lips, most likely Restylane, or one of the other hyaluronic acid fillers. She also has a smooth forehead (perhaps a little Botox) and flawless skin which is usually the result of a combination of a comprehensive skin care regimen, good genes, healthy diet, drinking lots of water and not smoking."
