Ben Affleck In Talks For "Gone Girl" Film

According to reports, Ben Affleck is in talks to star in "Gone Girl", the movie adaptation of the wildly popular novel by Gillian Flynn.


On Thursday, numerous outlets claimed that Affleck, 40, was in advanced negotiations to portray a husband whose wife disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary and who is suspected of foul play.

David Fincher is lined up to direct the film.

The project is being co-produced by Reese Witherspoon, who could likely co-star.

It's expected that if Affleck takes the part, it would come before his next planned directing project, an adaptation of the Dennis Lehane book "Live By Night".
