Vince Vaughn Joins "True Detective" Season 2 With Colin Farrell
Vince Vaughn will join forces with Colin Farrell for "True Detective" Season 2.
HBO announced the casting on Tuesday.
Farrell, 38, had already claimed that he would participate in the show.
The eight-episode season is scheduled to begin production in California shortly.
According to the HBO press release, Farrell will portray Ray Velcoro, "a compromised detective whose allegiances are torn between his masters in a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him."
Vaughn, 44, will play Frank Semyon, "a career criminal in danger of losing his empire when his move into legitimate enterprise is upended by the murder of a business partner."
Justin Lin will direct the first two episodes.
