Michael Phelps Arrested For DUI
Michael Phelps was arrested for DUI.
Phelps, 29, was busted for driving under the influence in Maryland early on Tuesday morning.
Cops pulled the record-setting Olympic swimmer's Range Rover over at 1:40 a.m. for going 84 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone.
Phelps failed a field sobriety test, with a blood-alcohol level almost twice the legal limit.
He was charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lane lines.
The most decorated Olympian of all time was taken into custody, booked and afterwards released.
He was initially arrested for DUI in 2004 at 19 years old.
At the time, Phelps struck a plea deal which led to 18 months of probation.
Police have not yet revealed further information about his new arrest.
