James Franco Shaves Head For New Role (PHOTOS)
James Franco shaved his head on Wednesday, going totally bald for the character in his new film "Zeroville", based on Steve Erickson's book of the same name.
Franco, 36, documented the transformation with a number of mirror selfies that he posted on Instagram, captioning one of the images: "Bald as a mutha!"
A pair of Gucci aviators, a fake mustache and tattoo painted on his shaven head completed his new appearance.
For "Zeroville" Franco portrays Vikar, a student who is obsessed with movies and heads to Hollywood in 1969 with the pictures of Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift tattooed on his bald head.
