Zooey Deschanel Cosmetic Surgery

American actress, musician and singer-songwriter Zooey Deschanel (full name: Zooey Claire Deschanel) is rumored to have had cosmetic surgery to improve her appearance.  



Zooey Deschanel, 33, is speculated to have had botox injections, lip implants, fillers like Restylane or Juvederm and even breast implants!

When Zooey Deschanel attended the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, she turned heads as her face looked a little different…Dressed in a blue Monique Lhuillier dress, Zooey sported a much puffier pout than she used to have, an obvious sign of lip implants. In addition to her new lips, Zooey looked like she's also had filler injections in her cheeks and what seemed to be a botched botox job as her face appeared awkward and her smile looked forced and unnatural.

It was rumored that Deschanel had a nose job a couple of years ago. In spite of the little differences we notice on her nose, it is unlikely she had one, but it is highly possible lighting and makeup played a significant role on her nose shape. 

On the other hand, there are many gossip websites and celebrity watchers who have completely slammed Zooey Deschanel's appearance on the 2012 Teen Choice Awards claiming that she went a bit overboard with cosmetic surgery, a little too soon before the event!

Many plastic surgeon experts believe that given that Zooey's face changed in a relatively short amount of time, a nose job seems unlikely. But she could have had a lip augmentation as Juvederm recovery is fairly brief.

"Her lips are more defined and accentuated," Dr. Vincent Afsahi of Newport Beach and Tustin was quoted as saying. "Overall, she looks good, not over the top. Very natural."

London cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian de Silva, who specializes in facial cosmetic surgery,  stated that "Zooey Deschanel has a straight nose, narrowed bridge and a shaped tip. The whole contour of her nose looks more refined and complementary to her face that photos taken in earlier years. The hallmarks of cosmetic surgery can result in a scooped nose that is a telltale sign of rhinoplasty, often termed a ski-slope. Every patient and surgeon has a different aesthetic, and only a minority of people request to have a ski-slope". 

"Zooey Deschanel has a great looking nose, the fact it is difficult to tell whether she has had surgery is a good sign. I tell all my patients if people you meet cannot tell you have had surgery then we should consider this a success", Dr. Julian de Silva added.

Conclusion: Given Zooey's love of makeup and fashion, she could be trying lip fillers or maybe she was just tired and her makeup seemed a little less fresh than usual.
