Ruben Studdard To Join "The Biggest Loser"

Ruben Studdard, 34, is joining "The Biggest Loser."

The former "American Idol" champ will compete on the weight loss show's upcoming season.


Season 15 of "The Biggest Loser" debuts on October 8.

Known as the "Velvet Teddy Bear", Studdard famously beat Clay Aiken to win the second season of "American Idol" back in 2003.

He shed the pounds during his marriage to Surata Zuri McCants but gained back the weight following their 2012 divorce.
