Will Lindsay Lohan Play Elizabeth Taylor ?
She’s channeled Marilyn Monroe on more than one occassion and now Lindsay Lohan may get the chance to tackle another iconic Hollywood legend: Elizabeth Taylor.
She’s in talks to play Taylor on the small screen in an upcoming Lifetime movie titled Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed. The film will reportedly chronicle Taylor’s relationship with Richard Burton.
If cast, the starlet, who is lately better known for court appearances than movie roles, would appear as the Oscar-winner in Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story, an original Lifetime film that will document Taylor’s legendary romance with Richard Burton.
The Lifetime film is, apparently, not based on the book Furious Love, based on love letters between the two actors and which was optioned as theatrical film by Paramount Pictures as a possible directing vehicle for Martin Scorsese.
Lohan, who frequently pays tribute to another screen beauty, Marilyn Monroe, with photo shoots, was photographed for Interview magazine in 2006 to resemble Taylor. Deadline states that Lohan has often been compared to Taylor, adding that a 2004 article in Slate magazine lists the similarities: “Both had domineering stage mothers, little semblance of a real childhood, fame from a young age, substance abuse issues, public emotional outpourings, and copious amounts of tabloid drama. The key difference, though, is that Elizabeth Taylor had a true record of achievement before she became the most notorious movie star in America.”
By the time Taylor was Lohan’s age (25), she’d appeared in numerous films that have since become classics, including A Place in the Sun, Giant, and Raintree County, for which she received her first Academy Award nomination as best actress.
Hope this will work out for Lindsay's sake.

The idea of Liz/Richard love story is stupid enough, having Lohan play Taylor relegates it to the level of garbage...
